Aotearoa has one of the highest rates of Keratoconus in the world, and Maori and Pacific people have a very high incidence of it. One innovative Kiwi optomestrist, Paul Rose, invented a special lense for the condition and it’s now manufactured in 13 countries, distributed in over 60 countries and has become the most frequently prescribed lenses for Keratoconus in the world.
