For people who suffer from Keratoconus, it’s like looking through your car windscreen during a heavy rainstorm.  Aotearoa has one of the highest rates of Keratoconus in the world, and Maori and Pacific people have a very high incidence of it.  One innovative Kiwi optomestrist, Paul Rose, invented a special lense for the condition and it’s now manufactured in 13 countries, distributed in over 60 countries and has become the most frequently prescribed lenses for Keratoconus in the world.

We caught up with Paul and his team in Hamilton to find out more about his award-winning innovation in lenses and how it’s helping people with the condition…
