Global sales of consol hardware and games software are expected to hit a record US$49.9 billion dollars in 2009. Only 200 models of the first ever PlayStation console were manufactured but in 2005 it went on to become the first video game console to reach 100 million unit sales. It’s been 20 years on since development of the first ever console, and in that time PlayStation has been a key driver in the evolution of gaming. We caught up with one of their team to see the change over that time and what’s in store for gamers in the future…
